The numbers tell us that 4 out of 5 young people that sit in our youth group each week will leave the faith once they go to college - that's pretty scary! So what can we do to stop it? They leave because they are not prepared for the onslaught of secular humanism that is waiting for them at the University level. From Biology class to Philosophy or Psychology, the fact that their faith is just a crutch is hammered into their minds. "Intelligent" people don't believe in God - they don't need Him. Our young people face these circumstances with no ammunition with which to fight. We often send them off without knowing the truth about issues such as evolution, other religions, the Bible, God or absolute truth itself. I have been on the secular campus and faced these issues and I have also been where you are right now. Faith Conversations would love the chance to come alongside of your ministry and help educate your young people in any of these areas. We are available for Wednesday night or Sunday morning youth services, weekend retreats (Disciple Now) or any other special services you might have.
